Par Max electrode-less frequency discharge lamp (EFDL) is the latest in lighting technology. This technology rivals all existing lighting forms including HID and LED light sources in light output and longevity.
EFDL works very similar to fluorescent lights but it does not have electrodes to excite gases. Instead it uses electromagnetic induction at 2.65 Mhz. The result is an extremely long life with low light degradation and high light output with very little heat output. The shape of the lamp allows better light distribution and the low heat output allows you to position the lamps inches above the plant canopy to produce greater light penetration.
Like the Par Max CFL’s, the Par Max EFDL’s come in 2700 and 6400 Kelvin colour for maximum PAR light spectrum that plants use. EFDL technology is by far the most energy efficient, most PAR output and best performing plant light available today hands down.
